SOLIHULL teenager Harrison Morrow achieved some of his best results to date following a strong showing at the prestigious Formula Ford Festival.
The 16-year-old delivered a series of impressive drives and finished as high as sixth in one of his races from a grid of 86 cars at Brands Hatch.
Morrow did not take part in testing and only had limited time to prepare the car for qualifying.
The teenager qualified 19th in his group and finished 18th in his heat.
However, Morrow and his team worked hard to improve the setup of his car and achieved a result of 10th in the pre-1982 class.
The event features knockout style heats followed by semi-finals and then a grand final.
And Morrow made up three positions in his next race to finish eighth and earn a place in the semi-finals.
Despite a pace deficit, Morrow raced hard to finish a credible 24th overall competing against much newer cars.
Morrow’s best result of the weekend saw him place sixth overall in the pre-82 feature race.
And Morrow rose from 30th on the grid to 13th in the historic race despite his car suffering from engine issues which led to a reduction in power.
Morrow will next take to the track in the prestigious Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone.
