SOLIHULL teenager Harrison Morrow secured an impressive class win at Donington Park in the Super Classic Formula Ford Race Series finale.
Morrow took to the track in a 1975 classic Formula Ford, racing for Shaws Motorsport.
And the teenager qualified first in his class out of 17 drivers, and 10th overall, as he recovered well from an early spin.
Morrow found himself in a five-car battle for fifth place in race one only for a mistake at the final corner to see him drop to eight and finish runner-up in class.
He started race two in ninth place and quickly rose to seventh with a quick start.
Morrow completed another overtake and immediately started chasing down the driver in fifth place.
The rain began to fall, flooding the track in places, but Morrow pressed on and crossed the line fifth to claim a class victory.
The trophy marks Morrow’s first trophy in car racing since he transitioned from kart racing.
Morrow will now switch his focus to racing closed cars with a test in an MX5 coming up in the near future prior to a race at Snetterton in October.
