CONNOR Mort scored a brace as Knowle beat Wednesfield Community 3-0 to make a winning start to the 2025/26 season.
Mort put the Robins ahead and later completed the scoring after Talib Copeland doubled the home side’s lead at the Draintech Community Ground.
After victory on their Step Six debut, Knowle then drew 0-0 away at Chelmsley Town in a stalemate at Pack Meadow.
The results mean the Robins sit seventh in the Midland Football League Division One table after two matches.
Against Wednesfield, Knowle broke the deadlock after just four minutes as Mort stopped to head home following a corner from the left.
Knowle doubled their lead on 71 minutes as Wednesfield failed to deal with goalkeeper Domenico Roggero’s long kick upfield and Copeland beat the visiting keeper to the bouncing ball before finishing into an empty net.
And the Robins completed the scoring in the final minute when Mort scored from the penalty spot following a foul in the box.
Knowle are next in action against Birmingham OJM on Saturday, August 9 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
