A TEENAGER from Solihull won a third national title at the England Boxing National Junior Championships.

Dollie Fellows, who attends Alderbrook School in Solihull, won her third national title at Robin Park Leisure Centre in Wigan.

The 15-year-old, who fights out of Hall Green Boxing Club, stopped her opponent in the second round in the under-42kg category final.

Fellows also won national titles in 2021 and 2024 and boxed for England against Scotland last year.

She successfully defended the Junior Elite Championship she won last year.

Hall Green have produced over 50 national champions and the first-ever world amateur champion in Frankie Gavin.

And Hall Green’s head coach, Tommy Chaney, insists Fellows has the talent to represent Great Britain at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Chaney said: “Dollie is an extremely talented girl, she’s on that level [of Frankie Gavin], she’s the captain of the club.

“I made her captain of the club when she was 13-years-old because of her work ethic and how good she is in weight management and progression.

“She’s a role model, she leads from the front, she trains with the senior boxers who are 25 and 26-years-old.

“She’s a talent beyond belief. We want her to take the amateur route, she’s a three-time national champion and boxed for England last year.

“Because she’s super-talented, she’s already looking to make the Olympics in 2028, that’s the target.”

Fellows joined Hall Green as a 10-year-old and triumphed at the National Championships last year despite fighting a year above her age group.

And Chaney believes Fellows has the potential to win amateur titles on the world stage in the future.

Chaney added: “When she first came to the club, for the first two years she only spoke to me. She doesn’t say a lot but she does all the talking in the ring.

“She’s a different level, I’ve never come across someone like her, she’s right behind the talent of Frankie Gavin.”
