EARLSWOOD Town ended a tough run of festive fixtures with a 4-1 defeat at promotion hopefuls Northfield Town.
An Andy Matthews strike drew the Earls level only for Northfield to score three quickfire goals after the break at Shenley Lane.
That came after Earlswood suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat at Central Ajax in their last game before Christmas.
The Earls then lost 6-1 away at Hampton on Boxing Day.
And the results mean Earlswood sit 11th in the Midland Football League Division Two table.
The visitors made the worst possible start as Sean McLoughlin volleyed home inside the first minute.
However, the Earls equalised when Louis Bridges’ corner ricocheted off John Palmer and into the path of Matthews who found the net via the aid of the post.
Northfield eventually reclaimed the lead after the break as Louis Jones placed a shot into the corner.
And James Ward then finished from close range before Josh Roberts completed the scoring as the Earls slumped to a third straight defeat.
Earlswood are next in action against league leaders Knowle on Saturday, January 4 with kick-off at 2pm at The Pavilions.
