SOLIHULL Moors suffered a 4-3 defeat against Hartlepool United in a seven-goal thriller as the home side’s defensive woes continued.
Moors briefly led courtesy of Bradley Stevenson’s goal after Conor Wilkinson and Matty Warburton twice drew Andy Whing’s side level at Damson Park.
However, after Adam Campbell and Joe Grey twice put the visitors ahead, Grey drew Hartlepool level on the hour mark.
And Emmanuel Dieseruvwe restored the away side’s lead in a frantic second period which saw four goals scored in the space of just 14 minutes.
Solihull have now conceded three or more goals in five of their last six home games in the league.
The result means Moors sit eighth in the National League table, one point outside of the play-off places.
Pools broke the deadlock on 17 minutes when Campbell finished past Laurie Walker from eight-yards out after the visitors pounced on a stray pass from the Moors goalkeeper.
Solihull equalised on 35 minutes as Wilkinson produced a composed finish into the bottom right corner after a neat exchange of passes with Stevenson.
However, Hartlepool reclaimed the lead four minutes later when Walker parried a cross from the right into the path of Grey who looped a header over the keeper via the aid of the crossbar.
Moors drew level for a second time on 51 minutes as Warburton finished through the legs of Brad Young from Wilkinson’s lay off.
And Solihull took the lead eight minutes later when Young failed to claim Jamey Osborne’s corner from the left and Stevenson finished into an empty net from close range.
The home side’s lead lasted a little over a minute as Grey stooped to head in a floated cross from the right at the back post.
And Hartlepool struck again on 65 minutes when Dieseruvwe turned home Luke Charman’s low ball in from the right from eight-yards out.
Solihull are next in action away at Sutton United on Tuesday, November 26 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Gander Green Lane.
