SOLIHULL Moors have confirmed experienced midfielder Joss Labadie has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

Labadie featured more than 30 times last season as Moors reached both the National League Promotion Final and FA Trophy final – losing both games on penalties.

The 33-year-old missed in both shootouts at Wembley but hopes the club can go one better next season and achieve promotion to the Football League.

Labadie said: “I’m absolutely delighted to re-sign at this amazing football club, I really enjoyed it last year. It was one of the best and happiest I felt in a long time.

“We’re looking to go one better than last year, we all know how last season ended and hopefully we can go one better.”

Moors head coach, Andy Whing added: “We’re delighted that Labs has signed for another year.

“He gives us so much on and off the pitch and he’s a really important part of our squad.

“The way he looks after himself and the way he trains every day is what we want at the football club and the younger players take a lot from him as well as me and the staff.”
