Third body could be linked to double-murder suspect from Coventry say police

A BODY has been found on Newbold Comyn near Leamington.

Officers searching for a missing woman from Warwickshire found a woman’s body on the Comyn at around noon today.

Police have information suggesting the discovery is linked to suspect Anthony Russell, who they have been hunting in connection with the killings of David and Julie Williams in Coventry. The pair, who were mother and son, were found dead in separate locations, at the weekend.

Police believe the 38-year-old, who has links to Coventry and Warwickshire, is extremely dangerous and should not be approached.

ACC Jayne Meir said: “I can’t stress enough how important it us that we find and arrest Russell, and we really need the public’s help to do that.

“Anyone who knows where he is or sees him should not approach him, but call 999 immediately.

“We know he sometimes sleeps rough, and is a drug user.

“It’s early in the investigation, but we have information to suggest that Russell may be linked to the death of the woman found near Leamington today.

“We are working hard to identify her, and to find and arrest Russell.”

Anyone who knows where Anthony Russell should contact police urgently on 999, alternatively anyone with information, photos or video footage can get in touch with via this dedicated web link here.
