A CHOP SHOP was uncovered by police in Solihull.
Officers from the Priorities team carried out a warrant at Bradnocks Marsh on Monday (July 1), where they found vehicle parts and five confirmed stolen cars.
West Midlands Police say the cars included three Range Rovers, a Jaguar and a Land Rover Defender, with enquiries now continuing to find their rightful owners.
The Priorities team were joined by colleagues from the Rurals Neighbourhood team, Vehicle Crime Taskforce, Operational Support Unit, Drones and Dogs teams.
Vehicle examiner teams searched and checked other vehicles at the site, as well as car parts found there.
Along with the recovery of the vehicles, the teams used the warrant as an opportunity to gather intelligence and help with their ongoing work against car thefts in Solihull and further afield.
Priorities team Sergeant Zaineb Chaanbi said: “Warrants like this are a vital part of our efforts to tackle vehicle crime.
“Along with colleagues from other force teams we were able to recover these stolen cars and gather intelligence to help us in future.
“We often rely on information from the public to take action against vehicle crime, so if you suspect this is happening where you live, let us know via 101 or Live Chat.”
Teams across our force regularly carry out warrants and enforcement action targeting known vehicle crime hotspots.
