SILHILLIANS are being encouraged to register for a new online council tax account.
Solihull Council has launched the new system to manage council tax payments and keep track of bills.
Existing online council tax account holders need to re-register for this new account as the previous account is no longer available.
New users are also encouraged to register to benefit from 24/7 access to their account.
The new system also includes an easier sign-in process with additional security, access to more information, access to the account and documents and easy updates to things like direct debits, address changes, and discounts – with no need to contact the Council.
Councillor Bob Sleigh, cabinet member for Resources, said: “Our new online account is the quickest and easiest way to manage your council tax. It’s simple to use, will save you time, and enables you to access your account at a time and place most convenient to you.
“The new and improved account offers additional functionality and greater security for that extra piece of mind. I encourage everyone with an existing council tax account to re-register for the new online system and anyone not already signed up to get online with us.”
