Range Rover like no other created for multi-millionaire entrepreneur

A RANGE Rover like no other has been created for entrepreneur Dr Dallas Burston.

The £200,000 plus 5.0-litre V8 supercharged Range Rover Autobiography LWB model was the joint brainchild of Dr Burston – who owns the Dallas Burston Polo Club near Southam – Listers Land Rover Solihull and Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations Division (SVO).

The vehicle features bespoke exterior duo-colour paintwork in red and bronze, and a similarly unique dark cherry red and ivory leather interior.

The luxury 4X4 also features hand engraved and hand emboroidered Dallas Burston Polo Club logos throughout the vehicle, and even Champagne flutes featuring the official logo.

The engraved door handles feature a horse head pattern and logo in the style of Holland and Holland shotguns, and were hand engraved in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter

Speaking on behalf of Dr Burston, Major Carney, director of operations for the Dallas Burston Group, said: “Dr Burston owns a wide collection of cars from classic to modern day, and when the chance to work with SVO was offered to him by Listers, this appealed to him as a unique opportunity to design a distinctive, one of a kind vehicle to his own personal specification making this a complete one-off, unmatched anywhere in the world.

“It was also an ideal opportunity to design a vehicle for the Dallas Burston Polo Club which has not only been rebranded, but is also undergoing a multi-million-pound development project to build hotels and leisure facilities at its Warwickshire site. This project provided the perfect blank canvas to create something unique and unrivalled to take out and promote the Club.

“The whole project was incredibly exciting, taking an idea on a design sheet to the finished article. When we saw the renders we were a little unsure of how it would turn out but it has far exceeded our expectations. We wanted a vehicle that was a real head turner and that’s exactly what we’ve got in this car. There are so many talking points on this vehicle – it’s a real wow!”

Listers Land Rover brand director, Anthony Hope welcomed the opportunity to be involved in the unique project.

He said: “Listers is very proud to have developed the kind of client relationship where our customers have enough faith to work with us on such a significant and important project.

“We are very pleased to build a new relationship with The Dallas Burston Group, in particular Dr Dallas Burston and Major Carney. This has been an unrivalled experience for any motor dealer.”

Former GP Dr Burston made his multi-million fortune building up and selling pharmaceutical operations.

His Stoneythorpe estate is already home to world class polo grounds, hosts everything from corporate events to weddings, and future £122 million development plans include a hotel and luxury lodges.
