LOCKDOWN, health and Black Lives Matter are issues which will dominate an online event celebrating culture and creativity.
The West Midlands Culture Response Unit is hosting a number of young artists on Saturday (September 26) between 1pm and 7pm.
The event will feature performances, films, dance, poetry and stand-up comedy to highlight a number of issues affecting young people.
Birmingham based artist Kiesha ‘KSsense’ Sadler explores the Black Lives Matter movement in a spoken word film, while artist Melissandre Varin showcases a poetry film about how we keep in touch with each other during the pandemic.
There will also be a celebration of key workers by drag queen Yshee Black and a closing party DJ set from 6pm.

This event is a great showcase for the amazing artists and storytellers in the wider cultural sector, and with the West Midlands unique mix of TV, film, games, social media and digital skills we have a wonderful opportunity to work together to make West Midlands’ voices more accessible and heard than ever before.”
