Solihull Editorial 5th May, 2023 Updated: 10th May, 2023   0

SOLIHULL voters have bucked the national trend as the Conservatives gained seats in the Local Elections.

At Solihull Council, 17 seats were up for grabs this year – a third of the council’s 51 seats.

The Conservatives continue to be the controlling party, having held seven seats, gained three and lost one.

The Greens held three seats, gained one and lost two.

And the Lib Dems held two seats, and gained one.

It means that Solihull Council is now made up of 29 Conservatives, 13 Greens, six Liberal Democrats and three Independents. Labour holds no seats.
