Day 5 - Could you rehome one of our 12 Dogs of Christmas?

Solihull Editorial 16th Dec, 2017   0

Every day until Christmas Eve the Observer will feature one of the ’12 Dogs of Christmas’.

All of the pups are currently waiting for their forever home at the Dogs Trust in Kenilworth, and have been there for a long time or are struggling in kennels.

Lucias is a six-year-old bouncy Staffy who adores food. He is really missing his home comforts so is looking for understanding new owners who can settle him back into a home environment. He will need to be the only dog in the home initially but could have doggy friends out on walks once he has settled in. He could possibly live with older teenagers.

The Dogs Trust branch in Kenilworth will care for some 100 dogs over the festive period.

Rehoming centre manager Emma Healey said: “Our 12 dogs of Christmas each would make a wonderful addition to a new home and we are appealing for anyone who would like to rehome one of these deserving dogs to please get in touch.

“We continue to see many unwanted and abandoned dogs coming through our doors over the Christmas period, simply because people haven’t taken into consideration the lifelong commitment of dog ownership.”
