Day 1 - Could you rehome one of our 12 Dogs of Christmas?

Solihull Editorial 12th Dec, 2017   0

Every day until Christmas Eve the Observer will feature one of the ’12 Dogs of Christmas’.

All of the pups are currently waiting for their forever home at the Dogs Trust in Kenilworth, and have been there for a long time or are struggling in kennels.

The first of our Christmas dogs is Charlie the five-year-old Collie, who is intelligent, energetic and enthusiastic. He is looking for a quiet but active adult-only home with owners who can spend time exercising him and providing him with the physical and mental stimulation he needs. He is independent and likes his own space, so will need to be the only pet in the home.

The Dogs Trust branch in Kenilworth will care for some 100 dogs over the festive period.

Rehoming centre manager Emma Healey said: “Our 12 dogs of Christmas each would make a wonderful addition to a new home and we are appealing for anyone who would like to rehome one of these deserving dogs to please get in touch.

“We continue to see many unwanted and abandoned dogs coming through our doors over the Christmas period, simply because people haven’t taken into consideration the lifelong commitment of dog ownership.”

Visit the centre in Honiley, call 01926 484 398 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk to find out more.
