Solihull Editorial 12th Jun, 2024   0

Solihull’s Wise has been ranked as one of the best UK employers for tech. They are a self-employed tech specialist and are based in the town centre. They have been named as one of the best places to work after a rigorous testing process regarding overall culture and staff satisfaction. The achievement puts them alongside some of the UK’s most innovative firms in the country. The staff survey that was conducted was done completely anonymously, with the company scoring 91% for satisfaction. Their highest-scoring areas covered diversity, inclusion and teamwork.

The Growth of the UK Tech Sector

Tech as a whole is booming in the UK. Right now, the tech sector employs over 1.7 million people, contributing £150 billion to the UK economy every year. A big factor in this would be the casino sector. New games hit the market all the time, with software engineers accounting for 10% of jobs advertised in the country. With games such as Plinko Go in UK being so popular, alongside hits such as Cinderella’s Ball and Chicken Drop, it’s not surprising to see that gaming contributes a lot to the sector. In fact, the median game developer salary stands at £52,000, which is way above the national average wage of £28,000. The demand for tech-oriented positions is more evident than ever, as the country transitions to a more digitally-focused future.

Wise are Making Their Mark on the Tech Sector

Hannah Jarrad, who is the Head of Culture at Wise has released a statement, saying that they are delighted to have been listed as one of the top places to work in the UK. This is a first for the company and ever since they launched in 2019, they have had the aim of bringing the best talent across the country together for exciting collaborative opportunities.

They have achieved some amazing milestones already in their time but certification such as this is a testament to the company’s history. They are proud of the work ethic that their team has and they have said that this achievement is only going to drive them forward. The team said that they feel as though they are building something special right now in the area and that they cannot wait to see what the future holds.

Even though the company is relatively new when you look at their years of operation, they have grown considerably over the years. They started with just 3 employees during their start-up phase, but now have 66 employees working for them. They also have a portal for open vacancies, as they strive to expand their team to keep up with current demand.

The company provides innovative tech to companies that use drivers in their operations. Their aim is to help companies grow their business while saving time, energy, and money. With a focus on logistics, and 250 clients currently supported, they are making huge strides within the sector and awards like this are only going to push them forward in terms of brand awareness and potential opportunities.
