PARENTS can remember babies at special service to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The Lily Mae Foundation founders Ryan and Amy Jackson – who lost their daughter Lily-Mae at birth – are inviting bereaved parents, children, family and friends to join them at St Mary’s Church Temple Balsall on October 15 from 6.45pm.
Baby loss and stillborn charities will be holding a Wave of Light Service for all those who have lost a child to mark baby loss awareness week, which runs from October 9 to 15.
During the service families can place either a pink or blue ribbon and tie it to the tree of remembrance.
The Lily Mae Foundation said: “Due to the capacity in Church and the very emotional nature of our Service, if it is possible please consider getting siblings looked after at home on Tuesday. Many parents find that attending alone enables them to fully focus on our service and on their precious baby.
“We look forward to welcoming you to St. Mary’s Church for our Wave of Light Service.”
Through-out the whole of October families can visit St Mary’s Church where there is the opportunity to decorate a pebble that can be placed at the base of the tree in memory of a baby.
The pebbles are provided by The Lily Mae Foundation along with pens to decorate them.
Parking is available and there will be marshals to direct visitors to the church.
