DEDICATED volunteers and top-quality donations are being sought as excitement mounts ahead of the opening of a brand-new charity superstore in Chelmsley Wood.
Acorns Children’s Hospice is counting down to the launch of its latest superstore and is calling for the local community’s help in raising vital funds for children with life limiting and life threatening conditions.
The shop, which will see the charity double its presence in the area, will officially open on Friday(September 27) in Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre and will showcase a wide range of homeware, furniture and electronic goods alongside clothes, toys and great-value treasures.
Gary Pettit, retail director at Acorns, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our new superstore and doubling our presence in Chelmsley Wood – giving shoppers more choice than ever and the chance to make double to difference for the children and families we support.
“The people of Chelmsley Wood have been huge supporters of Acorns by making our much-loved furniture shop in Chelmsley Circle such a success. We wanted to show our commitment to the town by investing locally and bringing our complete range of pre-loved, quality goods all under one roof.
“But to make this superstore our best yet, we need the help of the local community. Whether it’s donating quality items or giving the gift of time by volunteering we need you! We hope you’ll be part of this exciting new chapter with us.”
The Chelmsley Wood superstore will open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
