THOUSANDS of families enjoyed the weather and free activities at the Solihull Family Festival.
Almost 500 children and big kids alike got to experience the immersive Pirates Misadventure theatre show inside Moby, the 18-metre-long whale that called Mell Square its temporary home.
There was also a host of other free family activities available, including kids disco, vintage bus rides, free face painting, airbrush tattoos, sustainable crafts, roaming gliding pirates, bubbleologist and town centre sticker trail.
Melanie Palmer, chief executive of Solihull BID, said: “We had incredible demand for the immersive theatre show inside Moby and we’re glad so many children got to experience it.
“Solihull town centre was a hive of activity all weekend. Free family activities are at the heart of all our events, and we loved seeing so many families continuing to choose Solihull as their destination of choice.”
