Defying gravity for hospital charity fundraiser

Solihull Editorial 26th Jul, 2024   0

HOSPITAL bosses and staff are set to take on a gravity defying challenge for charity.

The team, which includes Simon Jarvis – the executive director for Good Hope Hospital, will abseil from the top of the Richard Salt Building at Good Hope Hospital in aid of Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope, and Solihull Hospital Charity on September 14.

Simon said: “I’m very much looking forward to the abseil, it is set be a fabulous event for the hospital and the Hospital Charity. Good Hope Hospital Charity is a brilliant organisation that supports the hospital and has a really positive impact on how we can help and support patients.

“I’m immensely proud of all of the team at Good Hope, they really are an amazing group of people who are dedicated to supporting their patients and each other, with a real sense of team spirit.”

The hospital charities fund the added extras that are more than what the NHS can provide.

This includes state-of-the-art equipment and lifesaving research as well as ward refurbishments, reflective garden spaces, distraction toys for children, and activities to help patient wellbeing. The Charity does everything it can to support patients, their families, and staff while patients are undergoing treatment.

Anyone who wants to join the charity abseil can sign up at charity-abseil.
