Every dog has their day at Crufts 2024

Solihull Editorial 11th Mar, 2024   0

EVERY dog had their day as Crufts returned to the NEC.

Over 19,000 dogs, and their owners, from around the world competed at the Birmingham NEC over four days for just seven places in the Crufts 2024 Best in Show final.

They were joined by dog-lovers who headed to the arenas to watch ome of the world’s finest dogs and handlers in action across a range of disciplines including agility, obedience, heelwork to music, flyball and for the first time, a hoopers display.

West Midlands Police’s dog unit was on hand – not only to help keep event-goers safe but also to show what they get up to on a day-to-day basis from hunting down criminals to sniffing out evidence.

The Halls at the exhibition centre were filled with stalls for everything a pampered pooch could need from advise to treats and toys.

Observer photographer Marcus Mingins was on hand to capture a slice of the action.
