Prioritise friendship this winter

Solihull Editorial 27th Jan, 2024   0

WITH THE wintery days showing no sign of letting up, a friendship group is hoping to motivate residents to get out of the house.

Oddfellows Birmingham District is hosting a Cuppa and Chat group at the Royal British Legion in Solihull on February 15 from 2pm in a bid to help lift spirits.

The group said: “Our social groups meet up regularly for activities that are perfect for older and retired people who would like to meet others in the area.

“Come and meet some new friendly faces in 2024.

“A warm welcome awaits and we’ll treat any newcomers to a free tea, coffee or soft drink on their first visit.”

The society also lists around 50 free online events that are open to all on its website each month.
