No long faces as ponies visit Monkspath care home

Solihull Editorial 9th Nov, 2023   0

THERE were no long faces when two ponies visited a Monkspath care home.

Lollipop and Moomin from Lollipop Pony Parties paid a visit to residents and staff at The Priory Bupa Care Home who were able to socialise with animals from the comfort of their armchairs

The home said the experience brought smiles to the faces of the residents and it was a day filled with laughter, warmth, and a sense of companionship.

Activities coordinator, Rosemarie O’Connor, said: “During the visit, some of our residents had the opportunity to chat and reminisce about their childhoods, sharing stories about how they used to cut through fields to see ponies after school.

“It was a wonderful experience and we’re thrilled to have created such beautiful memories for our residents.”

The visit was so well-received that the home has already booked Lollipop Pony Parties for a Christmas visit, where the ponies will be dressed as reindeers.
