Shirley care home calls for unwanted football kits

Solihull Editorial 15th Jul, 2023   0

A SHIRLEY care home is calling on Silhillians to hand over any unwanted football kits and equipment.

Residents at Fountains care home have teamed up with Kits4causes, a charity that aims to support the game of football to those who wouldn’t usually be given the chance, as part of a plan to help the environment and support people.

The charity sends football equipment to social development projects around the world giving everyone the chance of taking part in the beautiful game.

To find our more about the project some of the care home residents and Louise Crooks, activities coordinator at Fountains headed to St Augustine’s School where the Eco Team were preparing to send off all of the kits and equipment they had collected.

Louise said: “Fountains care home will be continuing to support the project for the rest of 2023 at least and we are happy to be a collection point for anyone wishing to help, please drop off any kits and equipment that you no longer use or children have grown out of to Fountains on the Stratford Road.”
