Ready to jump and jive as Solihull Jazz Festival returns

Solihull Editorial 11th Jul, 2023   0

SOLIHULLL is getting ready to jump and jive to the sound of free live music at the Jazz Festival this weekend.

The four-day event, which starts on Thursday afternoon (July 13), will see more than 30 acts perform in Mell Square and at 22 other venues across the town centre.

The Continental Street Food and Drink Market through RR Events returns to the town centre with traders from around the world.

Organisers, Solihull BID, have tipped Friday (July 14) as the day to party with the launch of the Mini Marvels disco from 3pm in Mell Square before a superheroes parade – all costumes are welcome! Top tribute acts Little Chix and Flash – A Tribute To Queen will then get the crowds dancing late into the evening.

Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th sees the Jazz Festival take centre stage, quite literally, with music throughout both days in Mell Square and the town centre venues.

If all of that wasn’t quite enough, there’s also free street entertainment, free face painting and free vintage bus tours run by Transport Museum Wythall, alongside a static vintage bus in Mell Square to look around.
