THREE men have been arrested and a suspected stolen car recovered in Solihull.

West Midlands Police say it received a call of a vehicle being taken following a burglary off Loxley Avenue, Shirley, at around 1.40am on Sunday (July 9).

Two men, aged 18 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and driving offences.

And a 19-year-old man was also been detained on suspicion of burglary.

The force added: “It’s then suspected the Toyota Aygo was used in an attempted burglary in Bournville and another back in Shirley.

“The car was then spotted by our officers and following a pursuit the vehicle was brought to a stop in Colebrook Road at around 3.20am.

“We know the impact and inconvenience of vehicle crime and we’re committed to catching those involved.”
