Grow sunflowers and raise funds for The Lily Mae Foundation

Solihull Editorial 2nd Apr, 2023   0

A BABY loss charity is calling on families to plant sunflower seeds to remember their little ones this spring.

The Lily Mae Foundation will be remembering babies on their social media pages during April and May as their seed planting fundraiser gets under way.

The foundation was set up by Balsall Common couple Ryan and Amy Jackson following the death of their daughter Lily Mae who was stillborn.

It supports parents and families who have tragically lost a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination.

The charity said: “The seeds don’t have to be for you, you could also purchase them for a friend or relative.

“When your Sunflowers are fully grown we would love to see photos of them.”

Giant sunflower seed packets are available for purchase via the online shop at £5 per pack.

Participants should email [email protected] with the name of their baby which will be posted on the charity’s social media pages.
