A SOLIHULL bank is hoping to give sick children an egg-celent Easter with the help from residents.

Metro Bank is calling on Silhillians and businesses in the borough to donate Easter eggs to give to Acorns Children’s Hospice as part of its Easter appeal.

Kulvinder Dhanda, Solihull Metro Bank store manager, said: “As a community bank we want to support all the fantastic work Acorns does to help families.

“Thanks to generous donors we already have some donated eggs, but would love to collect over 100 for the charity and we will be collecting in store right up until April 3.”

The hospice needs £27,000 per day to provide its care and support services, with the charity’s network of shops across the West Midlands playing a key part in helping to raise those funds.

In the past year the charity has cared for more than 700 children and almost 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved.

Eggs of any size can be handed into branch on Solihull High Street.
