Solihull Symphony Orchestra ready to play first concert of 2023

SOLIHULL Symphony Orchestra are tuning up ready for its New Year concert this weekend.

The orchestra will be performing at St Philip’s Church in Dorridge on Saturday, February 4.

From 3.30pm there pieces including Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture and Schumann’s 3rd Symphony, the Rhenish performed.

They will be joined on stage by American cellist Katie Tertell who will play Schumann’s Cello Concerto.




Katie Tertell now lives in the UK and works as a freelance musician in Europe and America.

She performs and records with several European symphony and chamber orchestras.


Jon said: “We’re delighted to be performing in St Philip’s Church in Dorridge again. We had an amazing audience at our first concert there last year and we’re looking forward to a full house on Saturday.”
