Solihull Editorial 14th Jan, 2023   0

THE MIGHTY Compton organ is getting fired up ready for its first performance of the year.

Damon Willetts and David Lobban will appear in a live concert on the 1935 Mighty Compton Cinema Organ on February 5 at Fentham Hall, Marsh Lane, Hampton–in-Arden.

Damon has been a member of the Cinema Organ Society since 1999 and has performed in concert since 2002 when time permits beside his career as a professional groundsman.

He is the proud owner of a Compton pipe organ installed at his home and also works on a number of maintenance and restoration projects.

This is David’s 46th year as a professional musician and 60th year associated with the entertainment, hospitality, and keyboard industries. In 2018 David completed 23 years at The Tower Ballroom Blackpool.

For this concert doors will open at 1.30pm with curtain up at 2.30pm.

Admission £10 cash on the door, including interval refreshments and parking.
