A FUNERAL mass is to be held for George Bicknell, Solihull’s ‘trolley man’.

George, a well known figure in the town for decades, passed away a few weeks ago, provoking a huge public response from the people of Solihull.

It will be held at 11.15am on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St Augustine’s RC Church in Solihull town centre, B91 3QE.

It is anticipated there may be a large number of people wishing to attend and parish priest Father Dominic Kavanagh says St Augustine’s can accommodate up to 150 people inside.

For those who wish to remain at home in the light of the present Covid- 19 situation, George’s Mass can be viewed using St Augustine’s parish website, by scrolling down the homepage to: ‘Access Livestream.’
