Solihull bankers dig in at children's hospice

Solihull Editorial 12th Dec, 2021   0

SOLIHULL bankers swapped the office for the great outdoors when they dug in at Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.

The team from Solihull Metro Bank chose to use their Day to Amaze – a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause – by volunteering at the hospice which supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Kulvinder Dhanda, James Lees and Sam Waterhouse helped with gardening at the charity’s Walsall hospice.

Solihull Metro Bank assistant store manager, Kulvinder Dhanda, said: “It was great to get to work outside for the day – a total contrast to our day jobs. We really enjoyed working in the Acorns gardens

“We understand the role gardens play in the mental health and wellbeing of patients and their families. If what we did has made a difference to just one patient, we are very happy to have helped.”
