Christmas spirit is out in force across Solihull Town Centre

Solihull Editorial 8th Dec, 2021   0

THE CHRISTMAS spirit is in full swing in Solihull town centre.

Until the big day there will be a host of activities from the return of the Festive Feast to a golden walk-through Christmas tree in Mell Square and dinosaurs taking over.

The events have been organised and funded by Solihull BID – the Business Improvement District for the town centre.

From December 14 to 23 – in conjunction with market experts RR Events – the festive feast will return and shoppers will be treated to flavours from around the world with a wide range of hot foods to sample and cold items to take home.

Visitors will be treated to a special late-night shopping event on December 16 with live music from the Wedding Crashers and a performance by the Sing Solihull choir.

On December 18 dinosaurs return to the town centre for T-Rex-Mas for the last weekend before the big day.

Then on Monday, December 20, the Family Fun Day at the Festive Feast will see a range of activities brought into the town centre, including children’s craft workshops and Narnia themed roaming entertainment.

Melanie Palmer, chief executive of Solihull BID, said: “We all know that Solihull is the best place to shop this Christmas, but we’ve just got even better.

“This year we have two additional street markets to tickle your fancy when browsing for those special handcrafted local gifts, food, and drink.

“We’ve added extra sparkle in the form of family fun days, T-Rex-Mas, and a late-night event with live music at our Christmas bar. Believe in the wonderful Solihull this Christmas.”
