A SOLIHULL care home has been rated ‘good’ by health chiefs.
Ardenlea Court care home on Lode Lane is delighted with the result awarded to them by the Care Quality Commission.
Inspectors carried out a planned inspection of the home in the summer and noted a number of improvements to risk management and risk safety since the last inspection two years ago.
In 2019 the home was rated as ‘requires improvement’ it was noted then by inspectors that most people had received their medicines as prescribed.
Earlier this year inspectors returned and saw medicines were administered as prescribed and risks were assessed and guidance was in place to help staff provide safe care.
The home was praised for ensuring that residents’ needs are assessed before they moved in, ensuring that their care is carefully planned and tailored to their needs, taking factors such as lifestyle choices and cultural needs into account.
Inspectors noted residents and their families spoke positively about the staff who supported them and meaningful relationships were seen between staff and residents.
