Met Office issues yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain across Solihull

Solihull Editorial 20th Oct, 2021 Updated: 20th Oct, 2021   0

THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain across Solihull this morning.

The warning will stay in place until around midday and people are being urged to be aware that homes and businesses could become flooded from the expected deluges.

Drivers and public transport users should allow more time for their journeys because of disruption, delays and cancellations on road and rail.

And there is a slight chance of power cuts to homes and businesses, along with a small probability of damage caused by trees falling victim to strong and gusty winds.
