STUDENTS and staff at Solihull School have celebrated outstanding GCSE results.

A total of 77 per cent of the results were graded 9 to 7 and 100 per cent were grades 9 to 4.

Headmaster David EJJ Lloyd was full of praise for everyone involved in the success, which came just days after a fantastic A level performance.

He added: “The approach of students and staff alike throughout the year, has been exceptional and the perseverance and resilience shown have contributed significantly to the GCSE outcomes achieved at the end of the first year of our newly-merged school.

“Pupils that have been with us for a number of years and also former pupils of St Martin’s School, have taken every opportunity in school and via our fabulous remote provision to finish the year in style. Huge congratulations to all concerned.”
