EDUCATION Secretary Gavin Williamson visited Arden Academy in Knowle on Monday as schools across the country reopened their doors to students.
Mr Williamson was on a constituency visit to Meriden and was joined by local MP Saqib Bhatti.
“It was fantastic to see the team at Arden Academy welcoming students back to classrooms and it was great to hear directly from students and teachers,” said Mr Bhatti.
“As schools and colleges reopen, I want to wish all staff and students all the very best as they return to in person learning.
“The last few months of remote learning have not been easy, and I want to say a huge thank you to parents, teachers and carers for all that they have done to adapt to these challenging times.
Gavin Williamson said: “As pupils across the country return to their schools and colleges, I want to take this opportunity to thank parents, carers and guardians for all they have done.
“I was very pleased to speak to staff and students at Arden Academy in Knowle.
“I’m thrilled that students can re-unite with their peers and teachers once again and wish them all the best going forward.”
