SOLIHULL charity Get A-Head has received a £1,000 boost thanks to a donation from Midlands law firm Thursfields.
The Warwick Road-based charity, which supports those with head and neck diseases and cancer, was one of five chosen by the firm as part of their Christmas giving.
The other organisations receiving support are New College Worcester, Variety in Birmingham, Sight Concern in Worcester and the Black Country Foodbank.
Thursfields’ chairman Nick O’Hara said: “We all live and work in our local communities and so we are keen to support local charities as much as we can.
“We have chosen these charities as they are all working hard to make a difference to those who are in need, especially after the year we have all had due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Support for local charities is even more important in 2020 and we hope these donations will help at a time of greatest need.”
