Police crackdown on speeding in Solihull welcomed

POLICE clocked a driver doing 45mph in a 30mph zone during a crackdown on speeding along Yorkminster Drive in Chelmsley Wood on Thursday afternoon, October 8.

The operation was also aimed a drink drivers, and although a number of motorists were reported for speeding, no one was found to be over the limit.

Local borough Council Karl McNaughton (Greens, Chelmsley Wood) tweeted: “Great to see Chelmsley Wood Police have been addressing speeding on this section of Yorkminster Drive – a long-time hotspot for dangerous speeds.”
