Junior Great British Bake Off contestant ready to whisk up a storm in the tent

Solihull Editorial 5th Nov, 2019   0

A JUNIOR Great British Bake Off contestant from Solihull is hoping to whisk up a storm on the TV show.

Jaya is inspired by the flavours of her Indian heritage and was taught to cook by her gran when she was six years old.

The 10-year-old is hoping to impress judges Prue Leith and Liam Charles in the famous Bake Off tent with her cakes – and her signature is a chocolate cookie dough cake.

Jaya is part of a Bollywood dance troop and competes in a borough swimming team.

In her first heat, where the focus is on cake, Jaya will have to tackle a technical challenge set by Prue to create a tea party classic before bringing to life her very own cake showstopper based on their favourite school subject.

Jaya will appear on the Channel 4 show at 5pm on Monday (November 11).
