A BURGLAR who went on a three month crime spree across Solihull, breaking into houses and stealing cars has been jailed.
Aaron Powell, of Pit Leasow Close, Birmingham, carried out two burglaries where he threatened people with violence and attempted seven more burglaries between December last year and February.
The 18-year-old also broke into a van and stole tools.
Powell was arrested at his home in March after being identified through CCTV.
He pleaded guilty to seven counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, aggravated burglary and theft of a motor vehicle and was jailed for eight years.
DC Jon Rankin from force CID, said: “This was a very terrifying experience for all the victims, in most cases they were confronted by Powell in their own homes and threatened with violence.
“I hope this sentence can bring them some closure to something that I’m sure will stay with them for a long time.”
