GENEROUS children donated almost 100 Easter eggs to young carers in Solihull.

Pupils at Kingswood School started collecting eggs after Northbrook doctors’ surgery in Shirley called out for help to support those who care for others in the community under its Help us Care for a Carer initiative.

The eggs, which have been handed to the Northbrook Road surgery, will be handed out to children and young people supported by Carers Trust Solihull.

Rob Luckham, headmaster, said: “The school have been working on an initiative to care for a carer and give something back to hundreds of young carers across Solihull who help others day in, day out.

“It is fantastic to be able to support such a worthy cause in our local community.

“It is always good for children to think of others.

“We donated 93 Easter Eggs that were delivered to Carers Trust Solihull and have received with true gratitude and thanks.”
