Unexploded device discovered in Solihull prompts evacuations and road closures

AN UNEXPLODED device discovered in Solihull today has prompted evacuations and road closures.

West Midlands Police said this afternoon (April 9): “Officers have cordoned off an area around Streetsbrook Road in Shirley, Solihull, after a suspected unexploded device was discovered in a garden.

“Some nearby homes have been evacuated as a precaution and we are advising motorists that roads are closed in the surrounding area.”
