THERE was major disruption on the trains on Tuesday (November 13) after a body was found near Solihull station.
The railway was blocked in both directions and trains were cancelled between Acocks Green and Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Services were also cancelled from Birmingham Snow Hill to Dorridge.
The line re-opened at around 5.15pm.
A spokesperson from British Transport Police said: “At 3pm on November 13 British Transport Police were called to the track close to Solihull station following reports of a body on the tracks.
“Officers attended alongside colleagues from the ambulance service, however a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.
“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
