Shard End man charged with terrorism offences due to appear in court

A SHARD End man was one of three men charged with terrorism offences following an investigation by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit.

Garry Jack, aged 22 of Heathland Avenue, Shard End, Daniel Ward, aged 28 of Highmore Drive, Birmingham and a 17 year old male from Nottingham − who cannot be identified for legal reasons – have been charged with being members of the proscribed organisation National Action contrary to section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

They are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, September 11).

Two people – Alice Cutter, aged 22, and Mark Jones, aged 24, both of Wharf Street in Halifax – were charged with the same offences on Thursday evening (September 6).




They appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday and were remanded in custody.

The five were arrested on September 5 by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit in conjunction with CTP North East and East Midlands CTIU.
