RESIDENTS and organisations are being urged to sign the a pledge as part of the council’s plan to reduce suicides in the borough.
Following the official launch of the Solihull Zero Suicide Pledge on Monday, September 10 – World Suicide Prevention Day – by Councillor Karen Grinsell, cabinet member for adult social care and health.
The pledge focuses on looking after the wellbeing of family, friends and colleagues, becoming more aware of any concerning changes and asking if they are ok.
Following the launch there will be two awareness walks which are supported by the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust.
The first will leave The Core, on Homer Road, at 10.30am and go to Brueton and Malvern Parks.
The second will leave Marston Green Library on Land Lane in Marston Green, at 2.30pm and will last 30 minutes
