FOR A third year running the Rotary Club of St Alphege Solihull has successfully run a Young Photographer Competition for students of the Solihull Secondary Schools and Colleges.

The subject for the photographs this year was A Different Perspective which resulted in imaginative and artistic interpretations from more than 50 students.

The Winner of the Senior Category was McKenzie Stuart of Alderbrook School, whilst Alice Sharpe of Solihull School, Bennath Chillingworth of Tudor Grange Academy, Sophie Leach of Alderbrook School and Ewan Randall of Alderbrook School were Highly Commended.

Harvey Williams of Alderbrook School was crowned the winner of the Intermediate category for the second year running, whilst Paige Thompson, also from Alderbrook School, received the Highly Commended accolade.

Lucy Burnett, Marketing Manager at Touchwood, said: “It was a pleasure to support the Rotary Club of St Alphege Solihull’s Young Photographer Competition for the third year running.

“We have so much young artistic talent within the Solihull community and it was fantastic to see it brought to life. I encourage everyone to visit the centre and see the student’s brilliant work for themselves.”

The pupils’ winning work can now be seen in Touchwood, down Manor Walk, the walkway which leads from the Atrium to the Manor Square Exit.
