Police are probing a ram-raid at a Shirley bank.

West Midlands Police investigating the Halifax bank robbery on Monday evening (November 20), have launched a public appeal for information.

Staff were filling the ATM cash machine with cash when the vehicle rammed a Halifax Bank, in Stratford Road, at around 5.15pm.

Two containers loaded with money were stolen.

The police confirmed no one was injured.

The stolen vehicle – which was reversed through the front windows of the bank- was discovered a short time later in Clarence Grove.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The police are also appealing for anyone with any video footage or pictures of the incident to send them in.

Images of the incident have been released.

However, the suspects are dressed in black and the only distinguishing features are the short height of one suspect relative to the other and the distinctive Adidas-style trainers worn by one of the suspects.

The police are calling for information from anyone who might be able to identify the suspects.
