FOOTBALL: BIRMINGHAM born goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan has committed to Solihull Moors’ upcoming National League campaign.
Combining football with his job at nearby Jaguar Land Rover, he started his career as a trainee with Plymouth Argyle and has had spells at Newport County, Evesham, Redditch, Halesowen and Leamington.
He famously played in Worcester’s record breaking penalty shoot out against Scunthorpe United in the FA Cup, which they lost 14 – 13 in December 2014.
Injury cost Nathan a large part of last season, however he still managed 17 appearances and as part of his comeback he also turned out for Worcester City and Bromsgrove Sporting where he saved a penalty against Buckland Athletic in the quarter finals of the FA Vase.
Moors manager Liam McDonald said: “I am delighted that Nathan has decided to commit for another season.
“He is one of the best keepers in the National League.
“I am pleased to have secured his services as part of the club’s goal keeping strategy for the forthcoming season.”
