TABLE TENNIS: THE NIFTY Fifties table tennis club held their 26th bi-annual doubles championships at the North Solihull Sports Centre on Wednesday, March 22nd.
Supported by plenty of competitors, the popular event was witnessed by many spectators who were treated to some excellent and exciting matches.
In the final, Mike and partner Gail Bove defeated Tim and Phyllis Dunne 22-20 having been 15-20 down.
Trophies were presented by Simon Jakeways, duty manager at the North Solihull Sports Centre.
These awards also included the prestigious ‘Eddie Copson Memorial Cup’.
The event was organised by Ray Meredith, club secretary.
